Instructions for weather-collecting.

Once you have received your weather-collecting kit, simply go out into the wide blue yonder and select the weather you wish to sample.
  • Remove the lid from the jar.
  • Empty out previous contents. (Go on - give it a quick shake!)
  • Waft the jar around a bit in the weather.
  • Quickly put the lid back on the jar.
You now have some weather in a jar and something to tell the grandchildren.

However, for those of us who were not present, I ask that you fill in the record slip on the letter detailing who, what, where, when etc.

 

Whilst the record slip is the main piece of documentary evidence for each weather sample, any other associated gubbins is good too. This could include a photo or postcard (especially if you're on holiday), a ticket or just something you picked up from the collection site.

And, of course, there's the envelope it gets returned in...
